El Parque Tecnológico de Fuente Alamo and Sabic agree to develop business cooperation projects (03/11/2010)

This morning saw the signing of a cooperation agreement, led by the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research, between Parque Tecnológico de Fuente Alamo (PTFA) and the production company of engineering plastics to Sabic IP development projects business collaboration.

Among the objectives of the agreement is the advisory activities, research and training, and development cooperation projects in which envisages the participation of the University of Murcia and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.

The signing ceremony was conducted by the director of the Institute of Development (info), Juan José Beltrán, as Chairman of the Board of the PTFA, and plant manager of Sabic IP in Cartagena, Theo Van Eldik, being present at the event director of the PTFA, Joaquín Juan Aguera, and European Director of Purchasing Commodity Sabic IP, Eugenio Villanueva.

The agreement also provides for joint work between the PTFA and Sabic IP in matters such as establishing partnerships with firms in the business park, conduct or co-financing of studies and projects of common interest, cooperation projects in developing programs dissemination and social awareness and the use of the facilities of the park itself.

Leading companies and 30 percent increase in employment in the PTFA

At present, the PTFA has 18 companies set to employ 425 people.
