The mayor of the Fuente Álamo City Council, Juana María Martínez, and the president of the Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Cartagena (COEC), Ana Correa, held a telematic meeting to analyze the measures adopted and their implementation in the business sector of the municipality from Fuente Álamo. Juana María Martínez has stressed the need to continue raising awareness among citizens of the importance of complying with hygiene and distancing measures to avoid a rebound in COVID-19. He has also indicated the willingness of all the employers of Fuente Álamo who have adopted all the prevention and protection measures and "are making a great effort to comply with all the regulations, continue to maintain jobs and ensure maximum security for their workers and customers.
" Likewise, Martínez has appealed to the responsibility of the citizens, as we are advancing in the de-escalation plan, and has called for the trust and support of society in the local commerce of the municipality. For her part, Ana Correa has conveyed "the thanks of the businessmen for the support received from the city council with the resumption of economic activity in this Phase 1 of de-escalation." Regarding the opening of hotel and restaurant premises, as well as the terraces, the city council launched a communication and advice channel to help prepare for service, complying with all the measures established in Phase I and meeting the demands of expansion of space licenses, respecting the proportion of tables-surface and increasing the pedestrian part proportionally. In this sense, the mayoress of Fuente Álamo has pointed out the space limitations of some streets and has indicated that they continue to work and value alternatives so that hoteliers and citizens can enjoy the terraces with greater security.
