The director general of the Mar Menor, Miriam Prez, and the mayor of Fuente lamo, Juana Mara Martnez, inaugurated today the exhibition 'Mar Menor, our wetland', which will remain in the Municipal Museum of the town until March 1, with the objective to involve the inhabitants of the locality in the conservation of this ecosystem.
The initiative is part of the activities of the Sustainable Villa Master Plan of Fuente lamo, which has the support of the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment.
The exhibition is divided into six thematic environments, with special attention to underwater and terrestrial environments.
It includes photographs, reliefs of the islands, their landscapes and ecosystems, as well as children's workshops on native flora and fauna.
Guided tours have been organized for students of the educational centers of the municipality, associations, groups and the general public.
The Director General highlighted "the educational value of the exhibition, which aims to show in a fun way the environmental wealth of the Mar Menor and its surroundings, as well as sensitize the citizens of Fuente lamo, the riverside municipalities and all visitors of the importance of the environmental care".
