The Master Plan of Fuente lamo obtains the support of the counselor Antonio Luengo, who wanted to know first hand the development of this pioneering plan in Spain that will lead the municipality to be the First National Sustainable Villa.
The support of the regional government gives new impetus to the project that has been developing since December and that in 2020 takes great speed by having already planned more than 60 activities aimed at involving all groups and that will be carried out throughout the year.
The ambitious Master Plan Plan “Fuente lamo Villa Sostenible” has not gone unnoticed by the Ministry of Water Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment.
The counselor Antonio Luengo himself accompanied by the Director General of the Environment, Francisco Marn, went personally this morning to Fuente Alamo to be interested and know first hand a project that can be extrapolated to other municipalities and whose objective is to increase respect and conservation of the environment to be an example in the Region of Murcia and in Spain of sustainable development and respectful education.
An endorsement, that of the regional government, which is very important in the path initiated by the Fuentealamero municipality to become the First Sustainable Villa of Spain.
The Mayor of Fuente lamo, Juan Mara Martnez, accompanied by the councilors of Agriculture, Livestock, Water and Senior Citizens, Juan Soto, Municipal Public Services, Interior and Personnel, Juan Pedro Vera, and Transparency and Citizen Participation, Environment and New Technologies, Mauricio Cnovas, together with the Director of the project and Manager of Marevents Global Communication, Mar Abenza, have explained in all kinds of detail to the director Antonio Luengo and the general director Francisco Marn the first phase of the Master Plan consisting of awareness raising actions with more than 60 activities scheduled since last December and aimed at groups of all ages of Fuente lamo.
This project, under the name “Fuente lamo Villa Sostenible”, is divided into the 12 months of this year and is articulated on topics of a sustainable nature such as circular economy, energy efficiency, sustainable environment, color recycling, environment, responsible consumption, sustainable mobility, natural environment, citizen responsibility or even “Sustainable Villa” Awards divided by categories of participating groups.
Also especially noteworthy are the activities carried out in all the Educational Centers of the municipality, as they are the inhabitants of the future, and the activities carried out in the street with participatory and mass awareness actions for all residents of the municipality and carried out in different locations on the occasion of the most important world days related to environmental care.
The main act of this first month of the Master Plan will take place on January 26 on the occasion of the "World Day of Environmental Education" with an event next to the Educational Centers of Fuente lamo.
During the development of this act, youth “Eco Patrols” dedicated to helping raise awareness of the environment will be announced.
"The Recyclers", five superheroes (Lataplast, Mr. Papel Cartons, Organic, Vidriolita and Zamparrestos) will also be presented as the driving force of a pedagogical project with educational guides adapted for educational centers.
A project, that of “Los Recicladores”, which has already been recognized with the Sustainable Development award granted by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, and that has diverse adapted material such as books, merchandising and even a fun video game for mobile devices which will be available for the download of any user from Google Play and App Store.
The objective of the “Fuente lamo Villa Sostenible” is to involve 100% of the social agents of the municipality, such as institutions or associations, through businesses and businesses, tourism, agriculture and livestock, and the educational community, with the objective to achieve full sustainability and respect for the environment.
A new Master Plan promoted by the municipality of Fuentealamero and developed by the Murcian company Marevents Comunicacin Global, a specialist in sustainable communication campaigns recognized for its awareness projects with different sustainability awards.
The actions developed so far are already paying off.
This is demonstrated by the large influx of neighbors who attended the information tent last December, the nearly 200 interactions received through the App "Green Line", which allows citizens to interact with the session with all matters related to the environment and energy efficiency, the creation of the first “Eco Patrol” of Fuente lamo, or the action undertaken by the San Agustn School of Fuente lamo to publicize “Fuente lamo Villa Sostenible” in the center of the city of Murcia during the "IV Fair and Market of Teaching Cooperatives".
