The City of Fuente Álamo has failed the winning proposals of the First Motion of Motions 'Young people also count' in a public event held in the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall.
This is a contest that has been divided into two categories: category A, in which classes in the second tranche of primary education have participated;
and category B, in which the compulsory secondary education and high school classes have participated.
Each participating center has submitted a single candidate proposal for the final by category, under prior internal selection.
In the category that affects the elementary courses, the winners of the CEIP New School have proposed the construction of the youth entertainment center 'Ilusiona World', a center that houses cinema, technology room, recreation room, as well as a garden and cafeteria.
For its part, the 4th class of ESO of CEIP San Agustín, with its motion 'I deserve a street', defends gender equality through a proposal that seeks to match the number of streets with the name of man and woman .
For this, the center has carried out an investigation that reveals that 147 streets of the municipality have a person's name, of which only 7.5% are streets with names of women.
Therefore, the proposal includes that the next streets to be named are women.
The jury has been composed of the directors of the teaching centers of the municipality, councilors of the municipal government team and staff of the City Council of Fuente Álamo.
All of them have valued the finalist proposals taking into account the general interest of the motion and feasibility of its execution, the drafting of the motion according to the age of the course presented, as well as the presentation and presentation of the motion to the public.
The winning groups, whose class has been rewarded with an excursion, have had the opportunity to present their proposals to the councilors of the Municipal Corporation during the last Ordinary Plenary of the city council.
Proposals that have been included in the points to be discussed.
The I Motions Contest 'We also have young people' is an initiative that encourages citizen participation to listen to the proposals of young people and make them active participants in the decisions taken with the objective of awakening and instilling among the students of Fuente Álamo respect for democratic rules and restlessness towards the possible improvements of our municipality.
