The proceedings began at the beginning of the year, when the Civil Guard detected an increase in robberies with violence and intimidation committed against pedestrians in Fuente Álamo, facts that had caused some social alarm among the population.

In order to clarify the facts and detain their authors, the Benemérita carried out a series of investigations that allowed us to verify that after the robberies investigated there was a group of young people, based in Fuente Álamo and acting in coordination.

The majority of criminal acts materialized during the night / early morning in little-traveled streets of the town.

The victims were observed by the authors until they were alone and in isolated areas.

Once the viability of the robbery was determined, the group assaulted the victims by surprise, threw them to the ground and beat them while one of the perpetrators stole the effects they carried, usually the mobile phone and the cash it carried at that time, so Like other personal effects of value.

During the robberies, the authors did not hesitate to use intimidation or violence to achieve their objective, having detected that several victims suffered injuries during the commission of the robbery and that their aggressiveness was increasing in recent events, sometimes producing , injuries with a knife.

As a result of the investigation, the civil guards identified the twelve members of the criminal group and, once all the necessary evidence was obtained, they established a search device that has culminated in the last days with their location and detention as alleged perpetrators of theft with violence and intimidation, injuries and belonging to a criminal group.

During the development of the operation, the entry and registration of five buildings in which a large number of mobile phones and other effects allegedly used for the commission of thefts have been seized.

Some of them have already been returned to their rightful owners and others have been deposited in police units waiting to be identified by their owners.

The Civil Guard requests citizen collaboration to clarify more criminal acts and return to their owners allegedly stolen objects that have not yet been reported, so if any citizen has been a victim of the dismantled criminal group can contact investigators to report the facts :
