The project includes the recovery of the old raft, which will be converted into a fountain with lighting and water effects

The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Planning and Housing, funded with more than 200,000 euros to build a playground in the Plaza de La Balsa, situated in the hamlet of Balsapintada (Fuente Alamo) , a performance that includes the preparation of this public space that has an area of 780 square meters.

The Director General of Planning and Housing, Antonio Navarro, said that this intervention is "a comprehensive renewal of the image of the square, which once again become a meeting place for residents of Balsapintada, so it is a performance general interest will help to unite the physical and social infrastructure of the town. "

This action, carried out under the collaboration agreement signed by the Ministry of Public Works and Planning and the City of Fuente Alamo, fits into the regional program of upgrading public spaces.

This program aims to urban recovery and remodeling of space understood as more inclusive of civic life, to promote the values of the place where they are inserted.

The performance includes comprehensive restructuring of the square, located between the streets Picazo Sánchez, Troubadour and Goya, for which existing slopes will be deleted and replaced by ramps steps to ensure access for people with reduced mobility.

The area devoted to children's games will feature approximately 70 square meters.

Also, the action includes recovery of the old raft, which will be converted into a fountain with lighting and water effects.

The central area will have trees and a concrete planter.

The rails are made with transparent laminated glass with screen printed and installed several wooden benches and a lighting system built into the floor.

The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Housing and Architecture, funding 75 percent of the performance, which has a total budget of 362,278 euros, while the municipality of Fuente Alamo provides 25 cent.
