Public Works managed to eliminate the risk of accidents at the intersection of that road with the road Corvera, thanks to strong slip
The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Highways, has hired the site for the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of the MU-602 road, which connects Cartagena Fuente Alamo, specifically in the variant of this town.
This action, which involves an investment of 495,873 euros, will improve road safety at the intersection of Four Winds, where there are frequent left turns, greater flexibility in future increases in traffic intensity and sort the access to the area industrial and adjoining properties through the construction of new service roads.
"Improving road safety in the Regional Road Network continues to be one of the priorities of the regional government," said director of Roads, Jose Guijarro.
The Director General recalled that the Ministry of Public Works and Land Management got a few months ago almost entirely eliminate the risk of claims that existed on the stretch of concentration of accidents at the intersection of that road with the road Corvera to extend a high-friction pavement prevents slipping of the cars.
The construction of the new roundabout, which will have 80 meters in diameter and two lanes from four meters each, will begin in December.
The project also provides a complete renovation of the existing signage and new lighting in the area, "simple road safety measures, but very effective, since they contribute significantly to reducing road accidents and provide visibility night while driving ", said Guijarro.
