The Local Investment Fund will require an investment of 2.5 billion euros in Fuente Alamo (18/06/2009)

The Government of Spain has paid more than EUR 150 million for 583 projects that will generate over 11,000 direct jobs

The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, and the Mayor of Fuente Alamo, María Antonia Conesa Legaz, presented this morning the work that this council will perform under the Local Investment Fund and which have a total budget of 2,548 564.40 euros, which is expected to employ 71 people initially.

Tovar Gonzalez recalled that the works, a total of 16 were selected at the time by the City Council and passed at first instance by the Delegation of the Government and later by the then Ministry of Public Administration.

The cost will be funded entirely by the Government of Spain, which contributes 70% of each work to be contracted this and the remaining 30% to finish running.

The Government delegate and the mayor have pointed out that 13 of the works to be executed in the municipality are intended to provide this equipment and infrastructure of basic services.

Of these, the most important because of the size of its budget is the rearrangement of traffic and paving on the Gran Via Castillo de Olite, where an investment of EUR 424,262.03 is planned to build a network of safe drinking water, make a pipeline to evacuate storm water, placing conduits for electrical wiring, replace the flooring in both the areas of transit vehicles and the pedestrian, etc.

This street will be equipped with new lighting system at a cost of 155,537.86 euros.

Other projects will involve different remodeling (sidewalks, fords, network supplies, lighting ...) in the neighborhood of Villa Conesa (231,995.37 euros), on the road to Las Palas and adjacent streets (117,961.02) Community Avenue and the street Archpriest of Hita, the Palas (231,974.03), the Plaza del Castillo, also in Las Palas (55,000), the Plaza de la Iglesia, La Pinilla (67015.26) and different streets of the hamlet of El Estrecho (89923.83).

Among the other five projects included in the chapter on equipment and infrastructure services, there are two burial of the electricity distribution network (Via street and orchards, with a budget of 182,167.13 and 126,553.49 euros, respectively) as well as the construction of a promenade along the road in the neighborhood of San Jose, Las Palas (64439.80), a sewerage network in place The Roses - Balsapintada (89,973.27) and a bike lane with street lighting Picazo Sánchez street, also in the hamlet of Balsapintada (104,667.17).

Finally, three projects are the closing of the arena of Balsapintada (209,267.97 euros) and the construction of a housing in Cuevas del Reyllo (299,407.03), together with the provision of power to the circuit speed (96379.02).

The Local Investment Fund to date

Moreover, the delegate of the Government has reported that to date, the Ministry of Planning Policy has been transferred to 41 municipalities in the region EUR 149,526,106, corresponding to 583 projects have received funding for the 70 percent of the total payment projects.

The delegate pointed out that 30% will be issued upon completion of each performance and worth the investment with the Government of Spain.

In this sense, González Tovar explained that this week has been paid by the end of work on the first draft of the Region, held in the municipality of Santomera.

With regard to jobs created so far, González Tovar explained that already have generated 11,483 direct jobs.

In this latter regard, the delegate explained that the number of jobs created and financed the works awarded the Local Investment Fund, to date, is much higher than originally planned, so finally it is estimated that the number of posts Work is about 13,000 jobs.

Tovar Gonzalez recalled that the Region of Murcia has been the recipient of 246.3 M € of this fund and once the presentation phase of projects, 673 projects submitted were approved by the 45 municipalities in the region.

It has also made reference to the autonomy with which the councils have selected their projects, addressing the needs of their municipality as well as employment generation, which initially was estimated at about 8,715 jobs and depending on the duration of works in a 1,116,205 hours of work and hopefully will be overcome.
