Among the activities for this week against Gender Violence organized by the Department for the Promotion of Equality Women's Hall of Fuente Alamo, was formed this morning, the Local Coordination Committee against Gender Violence in order to promote policies in the municipality of action needed to eradicate this social problem.
The general director of the Prevention of Domestic Violence, Youth, Legal Protection and Juvenile Court, Veronica Lopez, has chaired the Board informing components on the same lines of work to follow and the importance of constant communication links between them so that the response to a potential victim is as agile as possible, as well as early detection of cases of gender violence.
The CEO also insisted that "what constitutes from now is a desk, with regular meetings to discuss existing cases, suggest improvements and promote awareness strategies or requiring attention at all times."
The mayor of Fuente Álamo, María Antonia Conesa, has also requested the assistance of the SEF as a key institution to facilitate the employment of potential victims "and to achieve economic independence to help them start a new life."
It also highlighted the work the CAVI Fuente Alamo is performing in the town and that today has 237 users to that offered social, psychological and legal assistance, as well as prevention workshops and campaigns conducting awareness in secondary schools and among the general public.
The Local Coordination Committee Against Gender Violence Fuente Alamo consists staff CAVI Township, head of the local police, Civil Guard, Dr. Health Center of Fuente Alamo, director of the IESO Villages of La Villa and the social worker Municipal Social Services Centre.
