The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed an investigation into the abuse of a woman in Fuente Alamo, which has led to the identification, location and arrest of an individual aged 35, on suspicion of a crime against road safety .
The investigation began on 17 November when civil Sector Traffic guards were alerted to a traffic accident in the RM-E17 road at the height of Fuente Alamo, where a woman had been hit and the driver of the vehicle involved had left the scene.
The victim suffered injuries that had to be addressed by health services.
The preliminary investigations carried out by the Guardia Civil have revealed that the victim, before being wound, was driving and had a dispute over outstanding issues with the driver who allegedly struck and had had the leak.
Thanks to the cooperation of citizens and the result of the investigation, officers were able to identify both the vehicle involved in the accident as the driver, so a search that culminated with the location and arrest of an individual 35 years was established, suspicion of crime against road safety, driving recklessly.
The cooperation of citizens has been very significant for the development of research and thus clarify the facts and, thus, to determine criminal liability and civil derived.
Such offenses are set out in the Penal Code and can be punished with imprisonment ranging from six months to two years imprisonment and deprivation of the right to drive motor vehicles and motorcycles for longer than one year and up to six.
The arrest and the proceedings have been brought before the Court of Instruction No. 3 of Cartagena (Murcia).
