The images of abuse had been hung on a website last February 21
The Guardia Civil has arrested a total of four for abuse inflicted on several animals in a pig farm in the hamlet of El Escobar, town of Fuente Alamo (Murcia).
The four arrested are the general manager of facilities and three employees of the farm.
The investigations began after the Civil Guard have knowledge on day 21 that had been posted on the Internet a video with images of various animal maltreatment at a hog farm.
The same day that you became aware of the facts, the Civil Guard inspected the facilities of the farm involved in the facts, together with veterinary staff of the Directorate General of Livestock of the Autonomous Community of Murcia.
It is a farm dedicated to reproducing swine, that at the time of inspection housed more than 3,000 and 7,000 piglets breeding females.
Shortly after he was arrested the first of those involved.
The remaining participants were arrested the next day.
Detainee
We proceeded to the arrest of the following persons, residents of the town of Fuente Alamo (Murcia)
- 22 years of age.
- 40 years of age.
- 32 years old.
- 40 years of age.
The existing Criminal Code punishable by up to one year imprisonment and disqualification to 3 years for the exercise of profession, trade or business that is related to animals, to those who, by any means or procedure unjustifiably mistreat a pet or tamed, causing death or injury which severely damage physical condition.
The proceedings initiated have been delivered to the Magistrate's Court in Cartagena on guard duty, as well as the Prosecutor for the Environment and Urban Planning of the Autonomous Community of Murcia.
