The Federation of Teaching CCOO complaint dismissal of the only remaining cultural mediator in the town of Fuente Alamo (01/02/2012)

The Directors / as AMPAs and Presidents of all public educational institutions of the town of Fuente Alamo and on behalf of teachers and parents / mothers of the students, expressed their disagreement and show its firm protest against the team's decision Government of HE.

Fuente Alamo City Council to dismiss the social intermediary Lentit Brahim.

The work performed by such socio mediator for over eleven years has been exemplary, both in the professional and human aspect, being a link and channel of communication between immigrant groups and schools and colleges, helping, too, the intercultural development as well as solving problems of conflict, marginalization, and many others, providing an effective bureaucratic assistance in the area of documentation required for immigrants from the institutions.

If all previously argued, adding that the town of Fuente Alamo has over 6,000 immigrants and that schools have a high percentage of students from the North Africans, Eastern European countries, Latin American countries and ethnic minorities seems clear that this decision represents a serious regression from the viewpoint of socio-educational and a brutal assault against the social gains

All this without forgetting that, for about a year and social mediators were removed two of the three that existed at that time in the town, where they include references to information, advice, communication and mediation in the school community .
