The president of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, today inaugurated a new school and Primary Education in Fuente Alamo, which represents an investment of 3.8 billion euros, of which more than two million have been contributed by the regional government, and that will expand educational opportunities in the municipality.
Valcárcel, accompanied by the Mayor of Fuente Alamo, María Antonia Conesa, and the Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Sotoca Constantine, visited the new center's facilities are located on a parcel of 12,000 square meters in the Los Gallos.
The school has 22 units, 6 kindergarten and 16 primary, which has allowed this course enrollment of 500 students.
It also has large common areas, kitchen and dining room, library, motor skills, pencil case and rooms for classroom teachers and the Parents Association.
This, said the president, "turn this school into a modern center with new physical spaces, wider and packed to ensure the quality of education provided."
Also, the center is integrated into the network of bilingual schools in the region and nearly half of primary school students are already receiving this training.
"Improving educational infrastructure network to suit the needs of students and teachers is one of the main lines of action of this government," said the chief executive of Murcia, who said that despite the current difficult economic times, "We will not abandon these investments, because we understand that investing in education is investing in the future."
Fuente Alamo now has six schools and Primary as well as a center of secondary education and one Secondary school, with a total of 3,188 students enrolled.
