COEC Fuente Álamo received yesterday, inside the commemorative events of the Day of the Villa, the 'Fountain Silver Medal in the Silver Category', on the occasion of the celebration of the XXV anniversary of its creation.
The mayor of Fuente Álamo, Antonio Conesa, highlighted the importance of COEC Fuente Álamo as "a fundamental actor in the life of the municipality."
He also valued the great work of COEC Fuente Álamo as a catalyst for economic activities and traditions in the municipality.
Finally, he congratulated Eugenio Buendía as president of this business group since its foundation in 1993.
Pedro Pablo Hernández, president of COEC, recognized the great work carried out during these 25 years by the Fuente Álamo group and indicated that "without people, without committed businessmen like Eugenio Buendía it would have been impossible to celebrate these silver weddings of the business association in the Villa of Fuente Álamo "
The president of COEC Fuente Álamo, Eugenio Buendía, thanked the businessmen of the town for their union and commitment during these 25 years.
"Thanks to them, this confederation is a benchmark in the locality, and its good work and professionalism is an example for the entire Region," he said.
Likewise, Buendía highlighted the business diversity of COEC in Fuente Álamo, where its more than 150 associates make up a broad representation of the various sectors generating employment and wealth in the municipality, such as commerce and hospitality, industry, agriculture and livestock, or transport logistics, among others.
The president of COEC Fuente Álamo thanked the City Council for this distinction, which "for us is an immense pride and encourages us to continue, with renewed enthusiasm, another 25 years at least working for and to leave a better municipality for our neighbors and visitors" .
Finally, he had a few words of recognition and affection for Domingo Olivo, frigate captain, killed by the terrorist group ETA in 1993, on the occasion of the awarding of the Fuente Álamo gold medal.
